HELP OUR HEROES AT THE RED LION TODAY ! : Sun May 17, 2009 10:24 am  

A charity event in aid of Help our Heroes takes place this afternoon at the Red Lion Pub in West Leigh or Westleyth as it's known to locals

Entertainment this afternoon is : Comedian Trevor Wallace , Guest Appearance from Tony Barry (Houghton Weavers) , Live guitarist , plus Karaoke and music with DJ Shorty .

There will also be a Tombola and a raffle to help raise money for the charity.

There will be an auction for the following items ,

Signed Leigh Shirt signed by all the Leigh and Widnes players after Thursday nights victory on SKY

Signed Leigh rugby ball from Thursday night

A black widnes shirt ( as we didnt want to blind anyone with 1 of them awful away shirts.)

A signed Bolton Wanderers Football with this seasons squads signatures.

A signed rugby Ball from the Leigh squad of 07 - 08 .

Matt or anyone that knows me and has my number , telephone bids are welcome for the auction if you can't make it in person.

LOL , jokes aside on a serious note , all monies raised will go straight to the Charity help the heroes for ex service men and women


This event has already started , dont know exact time of the auction , would imagine it's when there are a few people there . But if anyone can spare 30 mins of their time to contribute however big or small I'm sure Hazel and Jack would appreciate it .
The music , tombola and raffle will be going on all day.
