Credit where credits due for me, I didn’t go and didn’t expect a Leigh win , and from the size of the crowd a few others Leythers felt the same. However it seems like a very good win, especially without the DRs , so well done John Duffy and the lads..
Hope for better luck with a home game in the next round.
Same for me Ian. I couldn't make it - and I guess it's not among my favourite grounds, anyway. I was very pleasantly surprised with the result, especially as Sheffield have only lost one game, prior to yesterday. It also looks like there was a very late withdrawal, by Stefan Marsh, with Andy Thornley having to fill in, in the threequarters. Looking at the squad, posted by Cokey, we have only two players not selected in the nineteen. That illustrates how thin on the ground we are, and won't be able to cope well, with an injury situation. Easter could well be the next testing time, when Saints may want to keep their D/R's for the weekend.
Anyway, back to yesterday, and I'm delighted for the squad, and the coaching team.
