| Just landed back in Bent. Echo much of what Deeks has posted. Great practice for a Leigh defence that seems to be getting stouter match by match and especially with the ref repeatedly joining the Sheffield line from more angles than are on a Buckminsterfullerene. The North Stand were certainly questioning the arbiter's lineage after the Sheffield try, but Bongser will wait for footage before posting the words "well dodgy". Either way, 12 points shipped in four matches is pretty tight.
Love watching Ipape and wish to see more of him on the field.
Keanen was limping from around the 50th minute. Whilst he probably won't like it given today's news, he should be off duty next weekend. Not sure why Inu walked off. Roberts is a game lad but not a wing.
Highlight was an Inu conversion in the first half that seemed to hit both posts before dribbling over. Seen it in soccer a good few times but can't recall seeing it in RL. Conversions don't generally make "highlights", that one should!

| I was at the game but must have been watching a different match.
I thought the game was disjointed and was poor. We were generally poor in attack, too much poor passing, not enough organisation in attack after each tackle and too many times players got the ball whilst standing still and too much indiscipline and too many dropped balls.
I expect so much more from this team than they have so far delivered this season but perhaps that is a good thing because there is so much quality in the team and scope for getting better.
The ref was poor and was bullied by Farrell, who I think was their captain, and gave in to his all too frequent appeals for decisions to go in Sheffield's favour. All credit to him (Farrell), but it all added to a disjointed feel to the game. It was too much stop start.
Having said all this, we again won comfortably against decent, but not overly challenging opposition and we won again with only two proper props in the team and with a lot of quality players sitting injured in the stands.
By the way, Big Ben Nakubuwai is already here and was at the game. At least i think it was him. If it isn't then i think we have another large South Sea islander signing to announce! Big Ben was sitting with the rest of the non-playing squad in the main stand and he also did the duties for the half time draw - missed i might add by the public announcer. If it is him then he now has a beard which was not evident in the clearly out of date signing-on publicity photos.
Despite the average performance tonight i am optimistic that with a competent referee next week and with a much stronger team to put out - hopefully including Joe Mellor, who for my money was badly missed tonight - that we will put over 50 points on this same opposition. There is a really good performance coming from this team at some point and when it happens we are really going to take an opposing team to the cleaners. It didn't happen tonight though

| Penalty count 12-6 to the Eagles. Scrappy horrible game, missing Mellor and McDonald. Scored some good tries and delighted to see Ipape scooting round the field.
This was a game to forget, but next week should be a steamroller.

| I'll confirm that from where I was sitting that I'm positive it was Ben Nakubuwai who made the half-time draw but I expect Clive hasn't quite worked out how to say his same yet (same here), or maybe he just wanted to be anonymous until he plays.
