We're doing well in a number of categories of stats this season, as per this article on totalrl: https://www.totalrl.com/the-super-leagu ... an-breaks/
Errors: We've made the 3rd fewest errors in SL, with only St Helens and Huddersfield with fewer, though Saints have played fewer games and Leigh have averaged 9 errors per game, and Saints with 9.6 per game. Metres made: We're 2nd, only behind Warrington. We've made 13,259 metres in 10 games and Warrington have made 13,437. Missed tackles: Leigh have missed 271 tackles - the 4th fewest in SL, with Wigan missing 263, Warrington 243 and Huddersfield having missed just 227 tackles. Clean breaks: We're joint 4th, with 44 cleans breaks, level with Wigan & Catalans, and only behind Warrington, Salford and Leeds with 57, 49 & 47 respectively. Looking good! On all these measures we're top 4 in SL. If we keep upping our execution levels to take advantage of the good positions we put ourselves in, then I see no reason other than an injury crisis stopping us from making a real fight of getting in to the play-offs. Individually Charnley is also top try scorer and top meter maker in the league. Now we can concentrate on recruitment for next season and the potential to get better, |
