I remember playing when Stan Walls and Peter Dawes were the local amatuer refs. Didn't someone get sine die for hitting the referee.

The last winners were the Foundry run by Tommy coleman and i was informed that his son sean has got it. The joe Atherton trophy for m o m is in the safe keeping of Gary Flecther who won it last and was on the losing side that night :shock: :wink: :wink:

I played in the Shaw cup for The Jolly Nailor in Atherton, I was about 16 and had the bamboo shoulder pads on and took a bit of a hammering to say the least :lol:

Mad comp, I played for a few pub teams in the shaw. Very intense in early 90s. I played in ken gee cup as well, great games in late 80s and early 90s. rubbish now, no interest or passion.

Was the Ken Gee Cup not the equivilent in Pie Land of the Holden Cup?
