Worrincy does not work hard enough Briscoe works hard but is he good enough? Shaw superb on attack suspect on defence so a lot to work on imo.

Think if Gallagher was available he's the kind of player who might have injected some hard running and fire when they got on top of us, but we obviously missed Nico and Littler. Think McGilvaray is a far better winger than Clay too.

Overall though, good game, enjoyed it. From about 15-55 minutes I don't think Batley dropped the ball and we did have some harsh calls from the video ref, but that happens in SL every week.

Bit concerned about the crowd being 1600 though.

When Batley got on the roll we had no leader grabbing the flag and going at em.
Our 6,7 and 9 were dominated. Duffs is not a ball playing 7 they ruined him tonight by having pace at 6/7.
When we went 24-10 down I said we needed to throw everything at them for 10 mins - we upped tempo and they were rattled - more composure and a better 7 performance and we would have won.
Kear totally outcoached Paul, which is to be expected, and what Paul must realise is that refs in this division are crap and we must learn how to manipulate them. Its no good allowing them a QPTB when the ref is allowing them to slow it down and its no good giving away a deep 10m when he allows you to move up before the ball is played.
Batley dominated for 50 mins yesterday after we had them on the ropes at 10-0. Played great, gutsy percentage RL with well drilled halves. They got in our faces and read our repetitive plays easily.
Its not the end of the world, how you finish is key, but we have found out that Briscoe is a year off playing week in week out, Worrincey is a winger, Duffs should not be in before Nicho and we have the halves wrong at present.
The crowd was what I expected, Batley brought a few more than normal, and we have a lot of commercial headaches ahead if their gamble backfires.
Good news is that we didn't have to pay out winning bonus

Thought the video ref made good calls as where a few obstructions.You looked the better team in the secondhalf, it was just the execution.

That is an interesting read Mo. Why do you think Worrincey is a winger ? I also think Duffs is an inspirational leader on the park and it looked to me like he took a few knocks which impacted on his game.

The crowd was poor admittedly' but it was televised and both Manchester's footie clubs were on TV.

Good following from batley which would suggest the football impacted quite a lot on the leigh following as it did when liverpool played the other week

Well here is Charlies view,i thought the Bullfrogs played very well , but at times our tackling was non existant , some say Worrincy cant tackle , well neither can Briscoe , for me he isnt good enough , im not just blaming him though , Riddy seems to be fading into the background ,Duffs tried but needs support , i felt Ryan Brierly tried and injected the pace into the backline everytime he got the ball , i feel Ryan must be given more time .

Overall we are not to far away , we got a Bonus point ,Worrincy looked out of his depth slightly and McNally must stop the bunny hopping it doesnt work ,otherwise not a bad start , we will have to be more wiser next week .

Thank you Salfordlad. He played there in SL, has size and pace and should run over his oppo. He doesn't look right with the donkey work in the pack, his timing is poor when running onto the ball, or our passing is too slow, as he often over runs.

Duffs was very poor last night, and we have better options this year.
