I first met Phil at his pub the Boars Head when looking for transport to an away game at Wire. Phil was a really funny guy & just friendly, welcomed new lads to the away mini bus group & to his pub, never left anyone out.

This is a sad loss to many fans myself included but mostly to his family & close friends obviously, God bless them.

I didn't know Phil but my deepest condolences to his family and friends. It's tragic to lose one so young. RIP Phil

This is terrible news, such a young age. I had many conversations with Toddy when I called into the Boars Head in the afternoon or when he was in the George. He shared my passion for Leigh RLFC. He absolutely loved the club. A big shock. RIP Toddy. Condolences to his family.
