As fans we have a choice, back our club and the owners vision or revert to a very part time outfit when the sky money goes in 2021 who possibly cant even afford to play at LSV. One day the poop he took for doing what had to be done in 2018 after the fekk up caused by a crap appointment in 2017, will be recognized as what gave us future hope
If degsy is going for it, then so will I with 2 season tickets.
Not had one for 15 years but I am aware of 2 possible signings that excite me.
We don't have to change the whole team in this division and it wouldn't surprise me if we upset the applecart this year either. An interesting few weeks ahead !

Lets not go down the lines of "we as fans". The fans have carried the vision this season and turned out in good numbers, if you want brownie points from Derek you're doing a good job Mo.
I'm all for improving the squad. However, I would be disappointed if we made wholesale changes yet again and, in doing that, undid the marvellous team spirit that was generated this season.

Yep imagine never learning from your mistakes and overpaying for finished SL rejects time and time again.. Reynolds, Sau, Clark.. The trend is going right back to what brought us to the point of no return at the end of last season.

This. If DB is 'going for it' next year, that should mean contract offers for McNally, I Thornley, Forsyth, Cator, Douglas, T Adamson and Hood at the very least.
Sadly, I can't see that happening. We're heading back to old style ways, but with one year contracts in the name of sustainability. Sau and Higson have come in, and performances have dropped from when Forsyth and Cox were playing on that side. Clark and Thompson have come in, but are they playing any better than Brooks and Spencer have done this year?

I agree with you.
I would add, however, that bodies had to be brought in, to replace the DR players who have all been major contributors to our success to date. No way are Saints going to weaken their squad for the play-offs. Hopefully John has been able to absorb these guys into the squad, without disrupting team spirit - but I do wonder.

It would surprise me Snowy, I consider we are just not clinical enough in both attack and defence for a sustained effort against the top teams in the division, last 4 games- we couldnt break down a Widnes defence, Swinton scored 30 points against us, Rochdale beat us for more than half the game 50 mins, and Widnes again with a very understrength team we were not dominant against them, and 3 of those 4 games were at home, most likely we could have 3 away games in the play offs which would include trips to Toulouse and Toronto, we would need a great turnaround in application and attitude to win through and secure promotion, lets see how we go this week against a top 4 team.
