Churchill called miners 'worms in the earth'. Do you really think this ruling class give a toss about 'Workington Man' They will take great pleasure in erasing 'Workington Man' completely. Well, at least 'Workington Man' has 5 years to contemplate how Honest Boris pi$$ed all over him.

The result says more about Corbyn and co TBH - they have been a disaster and completely mis read the feeling of the British public

And here was me, thinking 'WYSI' was a staunch 'Blue'!

Incredible, isn't it, how much the political parties can misjudge the mood of areas/towns. Brexit was what caused this election, yet the Lib Dems chose to go against the majority view on Brexit, and paid the price. Labour couldn't make up their mind, and paid the price. The Conservatives correctly read the mood of the Northern towns, and reaped the rewards.

Who the heck advises Labour & the Lib Dems? Or did their leaderships choose to completely ignore the advice about Brexit. Lessons to be learned for both of them, and Boris could do well to heed his own stated gratitude, at thousands of voters "lending" him their votes.

So, could we please have a blue 'alternative' strip?
