Contrary to what you'll read on a certain other forum, Wigan did not have a try disallowed - the whistle was blown when the ball was just over the half way line. Just because SOME chose to carry on contrary to the peep does not make it a try that was disallowed.

Are the RFL's "Compliance Team" also investigating comments made on SkY TV - ones that said that that was a try all day long (or some such)?

Will they bite the hand that feeds them, or merely avoid their hands being bitten back by continuing to sit on them - those hands must be nigh on flattened after all these years!!

I'm not really sure which other forums you are referring to, but it was the wrong call by the referee in my opinion. The whistle shouldn't have been blown at all, and Wigan would have almost certainly have scored if it hadn't have been blown.

That's my opinion from watching the footage, not what I've read on a forum.

For starters, only "A (singular) certain forum" was referred to. If you don't know which one was alluded to then you are either of limited imagination or merely setting up a straw man.


Leeds (beaten twice by a team in WN7 this year) had a poor season this year and have problems down from Gary, through Rohan and right through the team. Maybe discuss those things on the Leeds forum (to which you seldom, in your dozen years to date until recently, contributed).

It's no secret that the officiating has been sub-standard this year. That's why a controversial decision was made. I think it was the wrong call, but I also think Wigan's disallowed try was harsh too. Even if Leigh's try had stood, I wouldn't have guaranteed them victory.

Derek is deadly serious about the new competition. He has the investors lined up. The derisory SKY money is peanuts to them. In 3 years time you will see a split in Rugby League. These people have the money to lure all the best players away from SL. SL will be the new Championship.

Are you seriously so naive as to think the presentation was going to any other ground than the LSV?? SKY pay a derisory amount to rugby league. They run the comp. They treat SL as a filler in their schedules. They pull the strings.They aren't bothered about the integrity of the game. They just need their schedules to run smoothly.

It could be oneof several forums. But that really wasn't the point. The point was that the opinion was my own, not what I've read elsewhere. I think you know that deep down, that's why you are making none issues put of grammar mistakes rather than addressing anything in the discussion.

The contingency plan was to have replica shields at all three venues. These shields exist and are used for publicity events, so why wouldn't they use them here?

Sky even sent cameras and crews to every stadium to cover the action. Why is this the only week they have done it? To ensure they can film the presentation of the LL Shield to whoever won it, that's why.

Sky have literally no control over who wins games. It's not scripted like the WWE. What would have happened if Leigh genuinely beat the Wigan defense and scored more tries? What if Wigan failed to score a point? You are talking absolute rubbish.

If Sky really were in control of the outcome of the games, wouldn't they want Leeds to progress to the playoffs? Afterall it is proven that Leeds games draw the biggest TV audience, and that would suit the Sky advertisers better.

There are way too many holes in your conspiracy theory for it to make a modicum of sense.

Why use a public forum if you don't like discussion?

Maybe I am a RFL mole sent to infiltrate Beaumonts lemmings and lead them astray from their cult leader. Or maybe I just see the world for what it is.
