Went to the old Ground today , scoreboard had already gone (yesterday) , just concrete terracing , Tommy Sale Terrace Stand and the White Learning centre building / stewards building that are still standing .

Saw the outdoor food place Belly Busters get crushed , only half the pitch remains , rest is soil and rubble .
Took some pics will try and get a few on here soon.

Booked the day off work to pay my respects, so to speak. Heartbreaking. Didn't get any pictures that are particularly different to the ones on here, though I did get one later in the day when driving down Atherleigh Way (the lights were on red, before anyone mentions owt!) and it's very strange having an unhindered view of the Tommy Sale Stand

I was speaking to the foreman today and he said that the Tommy Sale stand won't be coming down until next week when they have cleared all the asbestos from it - it may even be as late as next Friday. Anyway he said he will call me as soon as he knows for sure, so as soon as I find out I will post and let you all know.

I went down again at lunch time and Shandy Bass was there. I see he's got his photo in one of the local papers as well.

Definitely going down again tomorrow, I just want to see off the old place properly and I'll keep going until there's nothing left

It was for the FC United friendly in 2005; didn't have any photos of the bigger crowds from the Conference games.

He was there when I was there - made me take a photo of him holding up the journal!!

Ironic thing is I don't think he's been to a game for ages unless he went towards end of season last year as he follows Micky Higham around. He's got a Warrington shirt at the minute.

He said he hadn't been to the LSV yet either...

maybe someone put something on facebook that they wanted shandy bass there when it was being demolished


i know there was a site on facebook campaigning for shandy to turn on the christmas lights in leigh town centre, it got over 1000 members


shandy told me he believed the hype, and went to the town hall to inquire when they wanted him!!
