Glad we have stayed up although I would have prefered it to be sorted out on the field of play (so in one respect as we didn't finish in a 'normal' relegation spot justice was done IMO).
The club MUST now realise its had the biggest kick up the backside in the last 20 years.
All hands to the pump now and that includes work getting people through the turnstiles, we need to stop being a reactionary club and become one that leads, Leigh has a huge catchment area but iso far has been reluctant to tap into it, perhaps we should now go searching for our new fans with such a high profile team in Millward & Paul as obvious magnets for attracting new sponsorship and support.
It had the feel of big empty ground when we played last season and anything below 3,000 is a poor gate for a RL Town, get the feel good factor back (remember the mass coach exodus to Gateshead , Millwards signing- the same feel good factor is here today - build on it don't ignore it again or wait a bit until it fizzles out).
A good start would be a family season ticket for a 'family stand' - attractively priced with the game just part of the day out, loyalty prices for current ST Holders and early bird purchases of season & match day tickets.
Final thought has to be with Gateshead , whilst relieved we're 'going up' I also feel for the few Gateshead fans (not withstanding last seasons wind up merchant) who have really been through the mill following the club over the last few years.
