Hmmm... if thats true, it would be interesting to hear if the same person having a hand in it as last time. He should have gone then, but instead was bumped up and/or across, no matter how much of a hero he was on the pitch.

The Story goes that all the players were sat round the TV to watch the Video of the previous game, the first thing that came on the TV was deal or no deal, a certain large bald Yorkshire fellow demanded that the channel not be changed until he had watched the conclusion and all the players and coach did as he said and sat waiting until he was ready and let them turn the DVD on!!! Discipline wasn't the order of the day in that season i'm afraid!

I do think it's time for a new coach - a brand new coach, not one who's already here.

But to answer your question, a coach should always have total control of his players and have confidence that the board will back him rather than the players - so no IMO, if the players won't play for the coach then they should be shown the door. A coach is the boss, full stop, if the players don't like it then they should leave.

That's just for the players though - once the speccies and board have lost confidence in the coach then he should be gone - end of!
