So we now have to start asking why is LRLFC being promoted so badly. I have only been supporting Leigh since i've come up here which isnt long i know but i have noticed that there isnt any advertising or promotion in the town or houses or anywhere, even in St Helens most shops have the next fixtures, are drapped in red and white and they are proud but here in Leigh no one seems to be that bothered except the die hard fans eg that are on this mb and the people who go home and away.

So I feel that someone from the advertising dept [if we have one] should start going around the other towns like St.Helens, Warrington and Widnes and see what they do. They are local and can be driven to easily so there's no excuse.

Anyway this is all my own opinion before you all come down on me like south stand of HP.

And again KURT HAGGERTY is a loanee from StHelens or has he been conveniently forgotten about?

But you have to ask why is he the only one or has NK just decided that we have one loanee now we dont need anymore.

Kelly also went on record last year as saying he doesn't like loan signings so?

What is the obsession with borrowing players from other clubs???

Don't people feel that we would be open to ridicule and derision if we achieved anything with a team full of loanees! Lets concentrate on getting our own players into shape and up to speed with a decent game plan than shipping players in for a month here and a month there!

No promotion for 3 years......a time to build our own squad and drip feed the our youth products over a period of time

So do we develop our own kids or do we fetch in someone elses for a year then send them back to SL?

No brainer for me.

Didnt say you said there were problems fred...am saying that we cant seem to sign players without it turning into a circus...the rugby league press tell you our leaders are not RLs favourate sons....

As for sticking with youth yeah am all for it BUT if that means we slide rapidly down hill then its a concern...
Dont forget we have to make a final in the next 3 years or else all the young players we nurture will then be given(other clubs call it selling) to super league clubs(we have a very good record at that!?!?!)

OR are we saying thats it for us no SL ambitions ??? we are treading a very high tightrope damned if we do damned if we dont??? BUT one things for sure at this present moment i think the club is rudderless and AT needs people in place with cash monies and ideas on how to move forward now we have our new swanky stadium (super league clubs are jealous according to stevo in the express)

Next 2 years, no finals in year 3 (2011) before the franchise decision, very very cute of the RFL. In all seriousness it was coincidental that Celtic and Salford made the GF in 2008, because that would have actually counted as year 1,chance 1 to qualify to apply for SL in 2011.....I think

Not only do you misquote my source you misquote yourself.

Please point me to where 'The RL press etc...' is quoted?

I care not for politics in RL or in Leigh Centurions just facts and nothing it seems is that, just rumours and innuendos which are worth absolutely nothing and do nothing for the club both in the eyes of the RFL or its own gullible supporters some who believe everything that appears on here instead of getting off their backsides and asking the right people.

Fred you really are Leigh rl`s dream !!! there are other press out there ...
we are a poorly commercialised club always have been always will be we dont attract players and when we do they are usually journeymen who cost us a fortune for very little in return...You do a great job for the club fred BUT you dont have to believe everything they drip feed you...
We cant/dont attract players fact!! (as Rafa says)
