I personally was pleased to see DB Pitch Side celebrating the teams performance it proves he has not lost his passion for the Club!
He will know more than anyone of the disastrous decisions that have been made in recent seasons and, IMO we should definitely still been in SL!
By 'stripping' the Club back this season it has enabled the club to refocus and use the recent experiences to move forward!
The RFL/SL are absolutely determined that Toronto are promoted this season and Sky too are on board the Bandwagon ! I wonder if any Championship team will have all their matches screened live next year, should Toronto be promoted Will Sky even bother to screen any Championship matches next season? You can be sure of big changes at Toronto next season should they not be promoted again!
Going back to DB, a Guy I was talking to suggested DB had not put a Penny into Leigh and, it was all a myth Anyone else think he hasn't invested in Leigh ?
I think I was talking to the same bloke, did he also tell you the world was flat, the moon was made of cream cheese and that the money that took Leigh to SL actually came from a money tree in Lilford woods? Personally I am disgusted with the NS fans seen celebrating with players in the sterile zone that keeps the exits clear. What right have they to be happy that their team has won against the odds??

The last accounts available are for December 2017
They clearly show that AB Sundecks wrote off £1,000,000 of the loan to Sporting Club Leigh Ltd
It was a very good win, thought we controlled the game very well, we also seemed to learn from the previous week, were I thought we defended well once we let London into our half, this week we defended further up the field. Josh Woods showed why if he keeps working hard he’ll make it as a top SL half back played with an old head on young shoulders kicking for touch to wind the clock down, dare I say a bit of Wane’s influence “Take no risks, we don’t need to score, we’re winning,!”

Great start hopefully more to come.
Indeed , last seasons ' brain fart ' at the Bash comes to mind

Indeed Indeed.
Ridyard and Woods last season in that one game, instead of the 'dumb' half backs at Blackpool, and we would have been thrashing Wakefield last Sunday in SL, rather than Toulouse.
Anyway other than Woods and Ridyard. There were other outstanding performances v Toulouse. Luke Douglas played really well and put some big hits in but what about young Joe Cator? How old is this young man. 18/19? He really does look the part, and I am looking forward to seeing him progress this year.
Sorry I wasn't around to reply when you posted - I need my beauty sleep!
My comments are an observation, opinion even. You, of course, are entitled to opine that they are a 'gripe'. I believe I said, in a later post, agreeing with another poster, that I don't think he should be 'pitch side'. For someone who said he would be taking a back seat, lower profile, whatever, he seems to be going about it in his own unique way. I repeat that it is my opinion that he shouldn't really be on the pitch, or in the 'restricted' area' beside it. (or any other owner, or club official, not directly responsible for the match day operation) Was there not trouble at Blackpool last season, when our owner was on the pitch?
I also posted that he would be entitled to question where the similar commitment to the cause was, last season - probably a 'gripe' on my part, about how the players let him/us down. Anyway, these are merely opinions. If, of course, we accept that yours is the right opinion, and mine is wrong, then we'll just have to agree to differ - if that's ok?
If Mr Beaumont wants to run the risk of a fine due to ignorance of the laws of the game, that's his prerogative. It doesn't involve us.
Then again, he still is the main shareholder of the Club and I believe must still be investing money in the Club in some form.
He may take a backseat in the running of the game, but at the end day he still owns the Club. Has he paid for his corporate box this season?

I welcome his investment, and did in previous seasons, and I do not doubt his commitment to the club and the sport. My concern (sounds much better than 'gripe') is about the reputation of the club. Having previously witnessed first hand, what a bad rep. does for our club, it is very difficult to regain the respect of the RFL, or other clubs, once they have been 'upset'. Whatever we think of the RFL, and we all probably feel that they do some 'odd' things, we upset them at our peril. At the end of the day, we need their support, and have to work with them.
As for the owner's corporate box, I expect he has paid for it many times over!

Image is everything! Quite correct Alan. So do we take this as being a bad image or a good one?
Do we turn this into a positive or a negative? If you choose negative then the word "gripe" becomes relevant..

No, I would suggest that is so if YOU choose negative. I really must try to stay up at night and post in the wee hours. Maybe I can become more perceptive then too?! Meanwhile, I'll try harder to have opinions that coincide with yours!
