Wouldn’t be surprised to see Forsyth replace Marsh- can’t see that Centre pairing changing anytime soon

Whilst I admit yesterday was not one of Ryan’s better games, I’m sure he would agree there,I think all the Team gave their all,it was obvious from the faces at the end,if as it has been rumoured we have signed Craven for next season then I think Ryan would benefit from such a playmaker.
As for a few of our forwards,I again looked at the Chapelhows, and Norman, their presence on field was very telling,I’m not saying the Adamsons or others haven’t done well this season, but along with Emmitt yesterday they seemed not as effective as the Widnes Pack.
Again could be an off day,I respect your opinion though. :thumb:

Well I reckon our forwards were on top yesterday, Douglas immense once again, Emmitt a different style but effective in what he does.
The pack ensured we had a lot of ball in there 20, the halfs couldn’t make the most of it :(

Anyone who watched it on TV know if Higson was hit late (to the head)whilst on the floor in the in goal area in the first half?
On live viewing it looked a poor tackle and expected a card but Thaler didn't pull the player in for a chat and just had a word with the captains and gave Leigh a Pen so mustn't have been as bad as it looked?

Wasn't too bad a game although inevitably 5 drives and a kick was more provalent than if we'd had a dry day.
Thought one bit of individual class deserved to win it for Widnes in a match that was nip and tuck.

Players gave it everything but came up short.

Douglas has been our stand out forward all season, Emmitt for me just seems run of the mill, as for us having a lot of ball the penalty count was 14- 7 in our favour.

Higson dropped on the loose ball over our line, making it 'dead'. Ah Van appeared to slide in with the knees, hitting Higson square in the head. However, the ref and two officials were much nearer than I was! After speaking to the captains, Thaler had a word with Ah Van. No doubt the review panel will sort it all.

To put things in balance, I thought one or two of our guys seemed to get away with high shots - I hope they aren't sorted out by the review panel too! :(

McNally and Brierley were left prostrate on the ground following late shots , I don’t recall any Vikings suffering the same ?

I think the bottom line is we had the ‘tools’ on the pitch to have got a result however, they were overshadowed in creative and execution aspects of the game, for what it’s worth I personally thought we would struggle as we need squander far two many chances on a weekly basis, just has have done all season! Of course it’s disappointing and I feel for those have yet to see our Club at Wembley however keep the faith and your chance will come !

Watched it on TV and to be honest there was nothing in the challenge, the Widnes player went to complete the tackle which he was entitled to do and his arm went over the shoulder of the Leigh player which Im sure from some angles made it look a bad tackle. If anything the penalty was only given because of the players having handbags afterwards and the commentators seemed to agree. The one where Brierley went down, Pryce called him out for milking it, it was simply a push that at very worst was a fraction late, and the Leigh player milking it for the penalty.
