Harry , I said home based players , not home grown , Leigh grown players are rarer than rocking horse poop at the moment , and the RFL refusal to grant us an Academy won’t help , and apparently the players you mentioned have all signed for other SL clubs for next season , so we need to look at a complete overhaul .

For me I would try to add Brierley , Elliot , and Bell to Mellor and Stone and Whitbread , but we must wait , Derek B is no fool , and will know what needs to be done .

I used a wrong term of phrase Charlie, yes I meant to say British players, not home grown as coming through the system, obviously I am well aware of those player's having signed for other clubs, please tell me where is the ambition in letting 4 of our better performers go to other clubs, they should have been retained and others brought in, but no, they also have to be replaced as I said before and will repeat total bad management.

Harry , I’m presuming you are a Leyther fan of many years , the same as myself , I stand corrected if I’m wrong .I agree with your point about letting the said 4 players go , but they are out of contract at the end of the season ,and can negotiate with any Club they choose to , Leigh cannot stop this , it has been happening for generations and will happen for many years in the future .

Yeah they should have been kept , but how do we stop Hood from wanting to play in Yorkshire , or Thorniley wanting to play for Wigan , or Russell wanting to sign for Club gauaranteed SL .?Our Club are fighting a battle they cannot win there , again everyone knows players have to be brought in , hopefully we can attract a bit of quality , myself I’m not going to say it’s bad management , because whoever was in charge the same thing would have happened .

I’m optimistic we will survive , I do think if we are reprieved ,we will still struggle , but it will take a few years to establish ourselves as a solid SL club , even Hull KR , Wakey , Salford , and Hudds who have been in SL a while now are not strong SL clubs , if Wigan , Saints , Leeds or Warrington come calling players will leave them ,Sezar has left Hudds for Leeds , as an example , I’m sure Ian Watto would love to keep him , but that’s life .I love reading your posts and respect your info as I do with others on here .Keep posting .

A 9's Comp would add a few games.

Would never happen without a major event (Magic,CC) being replaced. Quite simply no financial backing.

Maybe he has a bit of edge to him , but he is the type of second row we need , I’d love to see him teamed up with Liam Farrell , in our second row , that would be a potent pair .
