Most of the points made on this thread add weight to the argument but I suggest the most important over-arching issue is whether the Championship (with Toronto in it) is a fair competition?
Or is it so heavily biased to cater for Toronto's needs and wants as to render it a farce?
I guess the Widnes fans may have a view on this, especially this season. However Widnes are one of just three teams who will not be required to cross the Pond, as their 'Away' fixture against Toronto is of course being played in the UK.
Finally, in the interests of a fair competition, why are Toronto playing Toulouse (and not Widnes) in the Summer Bash?
Please don't tell me it is to increase the attendance, by playing teams with local rivalry against each other, rather than teams of a similar standing - like favourites vs second favourites.
After all there is only £1.85M of Sky money and a place in SL riding on the outcome of the Championship.
You couldn't make it all up - no matter how hard you tried.
