Dave forwarded the photo to me and (as far as I know - only being the editor) it's in Thursday's programme, with a feature on the final. So, communication, at least on this matter, was instant. Now, if you were to ask me whan the Halifax game is going to be, that's another matter!

Wigan mbc out door education dept have various types of boats that can be hired, would imagine may need risk assess ment after the tradegy on the flash some years ago in the raft race and a early race to avoid any one participating hittting the beer before the race.But a good idea

I Thimk it could work if it was organised properly, all contestants wearing lifejackets etc and breatherlized(sp) before being allowed to enter lol.

A rounders tournement would be good too as all men, women and kids could take part. Barbi afterward.

Several years ago whilst working at Broseleys. We had an Its a Knockout comp on the Holden Road site, it was v various regions of the company, it was great fun, this could be done with say us, the MIners, Golbourne AND SAY ATHERTON Dragons.

4 teams of 4 in dragon boats each team doing one leg, u18s ,2nds/3rds,1st and a vets.As for rounders/ cricket leigh east already has all the equipment to put these games on,so no out lay required
