It was McShanes 1 st tackle of the season , it was on Gareth Hock , now then , is it beyond the realms of possibility that Daryll Powell would have told his players to ' wind up ' Gareth as soon as they could ?
Now this wasn't just a ' niggle ' , Mcshane was 2 nd/3 rd man in , picked Gareth up between the legs ( no possibility of poor tackling or accidental ) and drove him into the pitch
It was a clear yellow , probably a red due to the deliberate nature , it was 1 st tackle of the season , no fatigue involved , no low single tackle and player goes over the top , it was deliberate , it was on TV , the video ref had time to analyse it , McShane should have gone , he even dropped onto Hock with his elbow after doing it
So Leigh got a penalty , but after that nothing , other clubs then benifitted from McShanes ban , Mr Hicks bottled the decision , he could have asked the VR to confirm his opinion
