Hello All,
The Leigh Centurions Community Department is holding an amateur club rugby day on Thursday 9th April during the Easter holidays. The event will be used to give children and young people the opportunity to keep active over the holidays; furthermore the event will promote amateur club rugby to any newcomers who have participated in rugby activities through the community schools rugby programmes.
The event will take place at Leigh Sports Village on the 3G pitches from 10am - 3pm on Thursday 9th April. There will be a small charge of £3 for the day to cover charges for using the facility. After the rugby activities some of the Centurions players will be present to reward the young achievers.
The department would be grateful if all amateur club coaches could promote the event to their players both males and females from all ages (5yrs+).
Please find attached poster/flyers to help promote the event.
Please note that full teams are welcome, along with any coaches who want to attend. Additionally parents are welcome to come and watch although it is not essential (parents are welcome to drop off their child at 10am and return to pick up at 3pm). All parents will be required to give information with regards to medical conditions, photo consent etc before the event, this information can be provided on the day of the event or via e-mail/telephone beforehand (could i ask coaches to let parents know about this).
Could all coaches please let the department know of any interest within their teams if possible, so that the community coaches can prepare for the event with regards to activities, amount of coaches and prizes?
If you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
