The next time IM or anyone else from the club asks why we cannot get more fans make 'em re-live tonight! It was a typical build us up and let us down night. We have so many players who are simply not good enough who gave us a little hope recently but who are now proving my point. We should never have signed/re-signed the likes of Nanyn, Alstead, Maden, Hartley, Stanton etc.
Riddy was a risk and tonight he hadn't a clue how to unlock Batleys defence (unlike their 6). How many times did we keep going right when they had only 2 defenders on the opposite side - it only needed two quick balls and we would've walked tries.
Would Meekin & Ainscough have done as much as Mitchell & McCarthy tonight?
Is Paul Smith going to be another Wainwright?
I don't know who signed who this season but I thought at the time that some signings where poor - I apologised in games upto the Bratfut game as they appeared to be making me eat my words but i'm afraid it's back to reality.
Tonight was the worst game to lose in a long time and we lost it big time.
Final message to the club - DON'T EVER BLAME THE FANS AGAIN FOR NOT TURNING UP!!!!!!!!!!! Blame the guys who signed a squad that obviously lacked half decent players in crucial positions.

i think meekin & ainscough would ave done a better job than the dc lads but ave been pushed out so leigh could play the dc and it will be so hard to get up to speed now if they get the chance

100% agree with everything you say 24.7 plus hav you ever seen a team play such a important game so slow everything was done at snails pace our half backs and hooker looked like they where playing wi blindfolds on..........

Agree with some points ,disagree with others,looks like Smith could be another Wainwright,but give him a chance,we allknow we are PAINFULLY slow,and most fans are very upset toput it mildly,what has happened to Hartley?They keep saying hes injured,but see himround Butts Bridge,he looks OK,agree the wheels do seem tohave come off ,and we have a very hard July to come,i will be happy with a top4 finish,and a chance in the Play Offs.

Charlie, I didn't say he WOULD be another Wainwright but there is every chance that as he is at the back end of his career and may not be as good as we hope. I hope he does play well but our record ain't good with the 'older' player.
Re Hartley, I thought he was just hitting form in the last couple of games he played, coinciding with us playing a much more expansive style. He's not played since

Slight improvement from last year tho boys... Rome was not built in a day!!
