I am shocked at this news. RIP Phil, thoughts and prayers are with those left behind at this terrible time. Another Leyther watching from that terrace in the sky.

It's so sad when anyone passes away but being a Leyther makes it sadder, I didn't really know Phil , but met him at the Fev away game the season just gone, I knew he was a Leyth die hard,and my thoughts go out to hid Family.Sleep well Phil.

Rip Phil. I first knew him from watching Leigh train at Hilton Park with his dad Dave with in the Billy Benyon years, Phil served the club as Chef on matchdays a job he did first class, he was very much a top lad and genuine fan of the club

I too remember Phil from the Hilton Park days, and we had a good few conversations then, about the joys of working there! A lovely guy, who will be sadly missed.

RIP Phil - it was a privilege and pleasure to know you. Condolences to the family and friends at this very sad time.

I didn't know Phil but he's one of our family. My thoughts go out to all his family and friends.

Didn't Know Phil, but did see him knocking about - appeared a larger than life character, Leigh through and through
