So our inspired plan to lose at home to York and aided by Toulouse’s win at Fev. has resulted in the best outcome possible. Not only a home tie in the first round, but also a likely 2nd round match at York. I think most fans will agree this is a more preferable outcome than was at first anticipated. Plus if we have got through these 2 tough encounters, this will have given us more confidence in the likely scenario of matches in weeks 3 and 4 at Toulouse and then probably at Toronto.

It’s a very good outcome fixture wise. Now all that’s required is a good outcome from the squad.

Let's see if I've understood the system.

If we lose this weekend (not difficult) we're out. It's our last home game of the season under all circumstances.

We then have to beat York, Toulouse, Toronto all away from home in an order outside our control to qualify for Super League , any defeat ends our campaign.

What I should have mentioned is that Fev will have to beat the 4 clubs finishing above them in order to qualify for SuperLeague. In 4 consecutive weeks. The supporters must be in three minds wether to march in support of local British Airways pilots or hold off ready for possible globetrotting.
