A rather lacklustre first half and the match itself never really got going.
It seemed, I would hope, we were just going through the motions in the first half, hoping that they would tire in second and that is what happened.
Never been a fan of Monday games, always a bit meh but at least we finally won a televised match in a good while.
Mellor was MoM for me and our pack certainly got through a lot of work, I hope things start clicking a bit quicker soon and I also hope this hasn't cost us more bodies on the injured list, I'd think Smith will be out for a bit after all the clatterings he took.
A win is a win , it was nothing spectacular especially in the first half , having said that we looked to have taken a fair few knocks , so hope these guys are ok , Nene McDonald again had a good game but looked to have injured his arm ,Reynolds went off after an early injury , apparently Smith is ok and Asiata has a foot injury, Chamberlain was limping ,as was Wardle , hopefully all are minor knocks . The plusses was our bench and it’s strengths , I said when we signed him on DR Dan Norman was a big strong bloke , he had a good game and I like Hingano in brokenplay ,Hitchcox will be much better as the season goes on . It doesn’t get any easier though York next Sunday will be extremely difficult , then Widnes twice , as I said a win is a win , well done lads .

All the way with you, Deekos. Bongser has no probs with a forward getting MoM because, collectively, they completely knackered Bradford out and built platform after platform for Mellor and the backs. Best Mellor performance that can be recalled by this party, regularly wriggling through their line and the distribution was good (though the left was underused for Bongser's money - but, hey, what does he know? THAT'S A RHETORICAL QUESTION BEFORE EVERYONE PILES ON!!)
Disappointing show-up from the Bulls fans but not great from the Leythers either. Evening match in Winter s'pose. Took a KR fellah for his first dose of LSV tonight. He lives in Wigan now whilst working in Manc and apres-skiing in The Egerton in Salford where Bongser and Frank1 used to do. He's watched Miners Rangers several times without previously visiting the citadel.
Only 3 out of 8 conversions not too special. The kicking has not been good enough in any of the games this season and will come back to haunt us. Otherwise overall a solid performance against a decent team

Ben kicked 7 out of 9 in the first game (most tries just in from the touchline: 78% - near as makes no difference (as Old Pa Bongser (RIP) used to say)).
1 of 1 in the second (100%).
Fair enough, bit of a swirl last night and Ben's mam hadn't dubbined his kicking boots in time (though she remembered to give him his HT pie pennies (100s of 'em, FHS, though the meat and tatty is quite good.) Ed didn't do badly.

Bongser , I think Ben got injured early on which is why he wasn’t taking the goal kicks.
Bulls TV have put the full game onto YouTube. Google search “YouTube Leigh Centurions” will bring it and separate extended highlights up. Since I cannot get Premier TV coverage and LCTV is still MIA for game coverage, it will be my project for today asap.

Not that early on, Chas. Bongser thinks that for all his shortcomings elsewhere (saying that there was a great spot and miss out loop pass from him on Monday night), it just was one of those nights - Ridy could 'ave 'em, and even Woody hit the upright (railway/bypass end at HP) when it would have broken a points-scoring record. It happens, Bongser's jocund post was still in defence of kickers.
Bongser'd ask how you are, Charlie, but you'd probably reply!

Good evening Bongser , I did think I had replied on my health , I’m improving and am well thanks , my head has healed , my arm is fine , my toes are still broken , and I’ve been told to fix them I’d need an operation ,I don’t do a lot of walking these days. And I won’t be attending many away games this season , but will be sat in the west stand as usual .I hope you are well ?
