Where did you get that from Derek ?When did Edwin arrive .?And I’d have thought he wouldn’t be risked for about a week .The lad Wingfield looks a good prospect , and Dan Norman is a great addition to the squad , it seems 3 to miss out .

Ian, I agree about Norman, and Wingfield being very good additions. With no Smith in the squad, will Hingano do the full 80? Anyway - How about you doing some Ballet lessons to strengthen them toes up?

Apparently Ipape can play at Hooker , so he could be on the bench, Smith took 2 heavy clouts to his head against Bradford , I think York will be a very hard team to beat , so will be very wary , I’m predicting a close game ,Leigh by 6. As for myself I will need more than Ballet lessons .
Cheers Cokey, would normally say Ipape's early inclusion in the initial squad was a feel-good PR stunt but with 1-13 available with the exception of 9, think the question of Smith's head assessment result is answered and Edwin might have to do a few mini-stints for Hingano. That is if the game goes ahead. Batley/Sheff already off and Bulls/Barrow unlikely. If it does, pity both kickers and would-be catchers.
BTW Don't know when the hearing is but it seems Foggin-Johnson is on a Grade E charge.
Bradford (30 miles from York) match now off but due to waterlogging rather than high winds. York's is a new stadium so drainage may be better but will probably still be a wind lottery with Eunice drawing the balls. Glad for once to be stuck at work.

Ian, to say you think Leigh will win by only 6 shows some kind of uncertainty from your good self. I think we will win with more than that. York will be tough no doubt but, i feel we are too strong for them, and will win by 14. Anyway, I hope you can fettle your toes asap, and get back to normal mate. We need you up and running.
Eunice seems to have largely passed the North by (sympathies to the friends and families of the three southern folk that died by her hand). High winds less of an issue tomorrow than previously worried about. However said lady did seem to piddle all over the place (there was even snow on the turrets of Bongser Towers as the castellan awoke earlier).
The turf on The Towers' tilting ground is on the soft side of good to soft - still possible to play polo rather than water polo.
Football matches off due to waterlogging today include those at Bradford PA (30 miles from York) and Harrogate (19). Not been to the new York stadium (and that isn't going to change tomorrow) but will hope for goodish going and so have just posted a prediction on Superleigh of York 10-32 Leigh.
After getting to finally see a game courtesy of Bradford Bulls on YouTube, I’m going for a 28-14 win for the good guys. Close in the first half but we can pull clear in the second if we play smart. We are still gelling as a team, so do the simple stuff well, complete sets and stay away from silly penalties. We should be able to wear them down. I wonder if we see Ipape play. I’m hoping he actually gets a week to settle first, but if Ben is not fit after last weeks ankle knock, we may see him. I’ll be up for 0700 Radio York commentary on my side of the pond. Safe travels to everyone going over. Up the Comics !

Good Morning Derek , as I forecast Leigh by 6 it may seem a bit negative , but I’m being a realist , York are a good team , they are at home , and I take nowt for granted . I feel Leigh are still learning about each other , and hope we have a fit squad , I would give Ipape a bit more time to settle , but I’m hoping for a open , fat game to suit our style .
