Any thoughts after yesterdays friendly? Couldnt get there yesterday but wire friend of mine feedback was that we were error free for first 30mins, Hardaker, Ipape and Lam looked good but their pack were stronger late in the game. Looks like we were without Ben and Ava who I assume needs a few weeks to get to match fitness so can see that could have made the difference late on.

Ref crucified us for things he didn’t give the other way. Our pack murdered Wires but possession eventually told. Can see us having a real play off chance

I thought Ben's kicking game was poor especially on attack near the line.Other than that I was pleased with the lads efforts,ref was very one sided. Overall very confident for the upcoming season

Refs, we have always been crucified by them in SL. Usually because of bad discipline but think Lamey has taken that out of our game. Who was officiating.

Was plenty of positives take from the game, our defence was heavily tested due to penalties and repeat sets and we found it hard get any momentum for last 30 mins due to this and also swapping the team around. Bit of praise for Reynolds though, his defense is as good as anyone’s and showed again yesterday. Would be a decent option at 13 should Asiata ever get injured or play second row

As a Wire fan I thought your defence was fantastic last night. Hardaker's chase back and tackle on Danny Walker was superb and there were plenty more examples. You had some real stand out players and looked lively in attack too. You also lost out on a few 50/50 ref calls. You bossed a lot of the first half although I think we improved massively in the second half and kept Leigh out for the whole half. Both teams should be fairly positive for 2023 (especially after the year we had in 2022.....)
