Re: Hull : Sun Aug 07, 2022 10:40 am
Stats were interesting for Friday. Top metre maker was greenwood with 176 from 18 carries, golding managed 172 metres- (11metres per carry) neither on the field the full game , goldings kick returns helping there. We made about 600 more metres than Hull and 60 fewer tackles. We missed just 19 whereas they missed 46 so I’d say we were good for the win, a few moans from them on social media about Watsons comments that we dominated, and of course it’s the refs fault they gave 11 penalties to our 4 not the players’.
Some talk of a trip by pryce which is what led to the argy bargy and their man being yellow carded so will have to see what if anything the MRP makes of that.
Some high gain stats from all our players across the field ashworth 11 per carry, greenwood 10, Leroy, Jones, Levi, AOB 9, Yates, senior 8. So although we were behind for much of the game the numbers do look good.
I think the area of improvement needs to be when we are at the opposition line, we are too easy to read in our attack of the line with too much single phase play so the opposition can easily defend against it.
