I think we have some of the most leneint mods on the site on the Wakey board, we get our fair share of trolls, even from here, but they allow the arguments to go on as long as it doesn't get abusive and sometimes it's good fun watching them have a go, but I also think that although we don't always agree with opinions from our own posters we accept their right to have them without resorting to try and ridicule them (it would be a dull world if we all thought the same), from reading both Danril's and Marsdengiants posts I'm not so sure that even your posters think that this has been the case on your board in the past, but that's just my opinion of course.

What I was saying is that IMO Danril's and marsdengiants posts come across in a way that they appear to think that the lack of tolerance towards your own might have been the problem, but I might be wrong.

There was no intention of trolling, just offering an opinion from an outsider that browses all the boards and generally sees very little activity on yours compared to the rest, but if it's not welcome then I'm sorry to interfere and will leave you to it.

I wasn't talking about your post, merely quoting it because I was offering an opinion on your o/p, and suggesting that the other quote in my post might be a reason. Marsdengiant may not have meant it to come across this way but to some it might read as a holier than thou attitude.
I don't know whether there would be any correlation between crowds and numbers of forum posters, but it's strange that as you've begun to increase your attendances and interest in the club that the willingness of your fans to come on and discuss all things Hudds seems to have diminished.

If you do not know if there is a correlation then why not work one out?

Why is it strange that crowds up does not lead to people posting here? Have you checked the demographics/other sites/done any checking of facts?

I cannot speak for danril, nor would I. There are several posters - including several on the wakey board where i am banned- who dish it out but bleat when they get it back.

Because of my user name posters will suggest that i am a sheep*****er. That is fairly personal. I do not give a hoot. Yet when some poster is so incoherent with their arguments that I suggest they have the thinking capability of a primary school child people get offended. Go figure.

unfortunately some posters on here are incapable of making a point even a reasonable one without resorting to petty point scoring,insulting or personal abuse. this is not just unique to this board but i think the difficulty is that when you have a small number of topics or contributors the negative posts etc seem to be given extra prominence.

that is not the responsibility of those who no longer post but of those that still do. They need to have a long hard look at themselves.

FWIW Catnap does not appear to be trolling other than giving his view some of which i do not agree with but i do not take it personally

let me put it another way - when this board was at its prime lets say, i met, at some point, the majority of posters who used this board - a lot of them have become good friends of mine who i still go to the games with. we had a laugh at the matches and came on the boards during the week to discuss the match - the social aspect - the next game etc etc.

now dont take this personally but, apart from the people i already know i have absolutely no interest in getting to know any of the newer posters on here - i'm sure your all great people - but its not like the past, someone would join the board and join in with all the banter and fun etc and would inevitabily meet the rest of the people .
people got called things etc but laughed it off and joked about it at the match.
the new posters(2006 onwards i would generalise) dont seem to be able to do that and want to analyse every post to see if they can pick a fault with someone.

oh how i wish we could get this board to the happy,fun place it used to be !
