It didn't take us anywhere because it never happened did it. He had the right idea with fewer stronger clubs, but of course fans couldn't see any further than their own club, so we battle on in the same old style, living the dream that one day we will be champions. The reality is somewhat different though, Since Sky saved the game from virtual extinction the same teams have won the trophy's that matter, Sky have even less time for the C Cup than the fans who turn up in ever decreasing numbers.

Who knows Mr Davy might get behind the good Dr, and all of a sudden he will become a man of vision instead of a Clown.

Mo Lindsay presided over the most successful League club in the history of the game, Perhaps he may have got us somewhere, Where is the present system taking us ? Challenge cup quarter finals with 6/7.000 crowds, We really are going places.

Sir Ken got burned by Lindsay,I think that taught SKD the biggest lesson of his lifetime when it came to rugby league,that the game of RL is run by incompetent fools.

If the scum Huddersfield public would have backed SKD,we would have been doing the treble not Leeds.

Didn't turn down the £ million pound to merge with the Eagles though. A very handy bit of merger rubbish that one.

KD was left with hobsons choice- it was either merge or not be granted a license by the RFL.

Are you making the point that it was a bad move to take the £ million and Sheffield's place, if so I could agree with you. What I don't know is what Mo Lindsay had to do with it.

And why would the likes of Wigan, Saints, Leeds Bulls etc need to merge, they were all successful clubs with good crowds.

What Lindsay was saying was . The new money that came from Sky will just be used to prop up a load of teams who will keep going bust, and propping up an Admin that has been taking the game nowhere ( exactly what has ,and is happening ) It was a perfect chance to make a Super league of True big teams.

Not what the Fans wanted , Fair enough let them take the long lingering decline playing in dumps like Wakey and Bradford play in. Claiming" I will pack it in before I will watch any team that doesn't play in" ( insert colours ) While Union floats along on a sea of money, playing a poorer game.
