And in all probability Ashworth and Mason.

However I am fully expecting we may have to offload a couple more to get under the cap.

Also included at the start of last year was
Chester Butler
Oliver Roberts
Jon Luke Kirby
Ronan michaels
Robson stevens
None of those likely to be on huge amounts but still….
That’s potentially 13 fewer players we started with than at the start of last season, two of those 13 will have been very big earners and we have brought in 8.

I also forgot Oliver Roberts so there has certainly been a big clear out as well.

Roberts was probably on a hefty wedge, its why he stayed around so long, we signed him on a huge (5 year?!) deal right after the last world cup where he was pulling up trees for Ireland, and then did nothing for the next 4 years

Think it's a very good signing for you guys, gets a lot of unfair criticism, misses a tackle and hundreds of people put it on social media, other players do this regularly and nothing said. Intresting where he plays for you guys, excellent centre, but wasted there and you have lots of competition. For me he is a 6, a lot of Hull fans don't think he can play there, but I think he will do well there if given a good run at 6. Defence isn't ad bad as people make out too, just not at fullback as pace is exposed.

If we sign a 7 and another forward its the right decision for us, given us 6 years of great service and hope he does we for you except against us.

Connor will be on alot less then he was at Hull, they are comcerns regarding how he returns from a knee operation. Hes had a couple of them now cant see Hudds paying him top dollar with that in mind. Depending on who you believe it is muted he could (the main word being could) spend upto 10 months on the sideline.

Still reckon youd rather him with you then against, magician 10 metres out.

It’s a lazy signing. He’s not even that good. It’s a typical hudds signing. God knows what they are paying him when you consider they gave fages 3 times what Saints were paying him

I've always thought Jake would be an excellent ball playing 13, he likes the niggle, would be less exposed defensively and could chime in as and when he wants in attack. He loves the niggle and has a physical presence. But I can't see Watson ever going with a ball playing loose. Yates is an outstanding loose forward for his meters and defence and I can't ever see us deviating from that

Re: Connor : Thu Oct 20, 2022 7:23 am
Watto has spoken about Connor’s injury. The 10 months bandied about is rubbish- the club have done their homework, it’s based on old treatment on this type of injury and not current. The timescale is 4-6 months dependent on the person. Connor has already had the surgery so treatment has already started. Liam sutcliffe had similar injury and was back within 6 months.
A full 40 minute interview to include a full discussion on this will be on giantstv tomorrow
