Will tell us where we are so far this season. The games against Wakefield and Cas came at exactly the right time for us, they have allowed us to get some momentum, but let's face it, they are the worst two sides in the league by some distance at the moment. The good thing is we started playing more during the Cas game, mainly due to their woeful line speed and fitness levels, they seemed to be blowing after 15 minutes.Who should the halfback pairing be? Pryce and Russell looked like world beaters last night, but Pryce against Wakefield, who's line speed was much better, looked terrible when not given the acres of time and space he was yesterday. He needs to make better decisions under pressure. One thing that yesterday did highlight is that Fages really hasn't been making much impact this year. If connor is fit i would go with Russell and Connor in the halves with Pryce on the bench.
Jake Bibby impressed last night, and i actually thought Cudjoe looked really good on the wing, his jamming in was perfect and he took the right options in attack. Of course he will be succeptible against wingers with real pace but i would keep him there for now. Ashworth was also immense, and carried on his form from the reserves, would put him in and if Greenwood is injured give Rushton a shot.
Both Saints and Wigan lost this week and although they know it's a long season and you don't win anything at this stage they want to perform against sides they see as threats. Saints won't care at all that they lost to Leigh, they have always dipped against poorer teams but they won't want to lose to us that's for sure. Wigan's pack looks really weak, and i'm not sure about Peats, we handed him the CC final last year with our inability to go for the kill, they would have lost to most other sides that day, and started terribly, i don't think he's a great coach at all.
