Having a look at Groupon today I see that the club are selling tickets on there for the next three days for the Wakefield game.£2.50 for children and £7.50 for adults for one adult ticket, two tickets for £14, £25 for four tickets.All well and good but did not the RFL send out an email ticket offer last week saying that if you bought a full price ticket for the Wakefield game you could get into the Catalans game for a tenner?

It was only earlier in the week we discussed Groupon??

Not sure just the ticket prices reduced offer will work, I said then it needed a package with meal that Groupon members would see as a real bargain! get them in and impress them and hope to bring them back.

Agree. Me and a few others recently went to Wimbledon dogs via Groupon. You got in, a racecard, a pint and a burger. We wouldn't have bothered if it was just your entry. There were hundreds of people who had done the offer.

Having said that, I doubt we will go back unless there is another offer

That is how Groupon works! I used hotels twice this year just because the offer was too good to believe, but would I have gone away otherwise, No! and will watch out for other offers only.

So we can agree LOL

great stuff.....3 games into the season and we are craping the bottom of the CPA barrel........3 emails between the club and Groupon and possibly a phone call....great work from the hard working back office team.

Both are unbelievable value (compared with the £1395 for my Arsenal season ticket). Hope the club do whatever they feel is right to get people in. I will buy another next season and beyond even though I know we may not win many games. Hopefully Gower can create the spirit and the team will kick on. Really enjoy the West Stand at the Stoop. I was not whinging, just making a point,okay you can give tickets away for £7.50 but what the point in the RFL sending out a promotion to everyone where it would be cheaper to buy them at another source (groupon).

As for the £99 deal.May not be a lot to you in regards to your £1395 season ticket but I do not earn a great wage, liveable for London(just) but these days people do not have money to throw at leisure activities.

Years back - in a bid to compete with Stella - The makers of Kroneburg and John smiths stuck their prices up by 50p per pint as an experiment and actually sold more beer (per volume not just profit) and made it a permanent switch. Maybe our £99 tickets are part of the problem. People do t see it as a premium product.

by no means the sole issue but one part of it is perception. If you don't value your proposition why should anybody else?

How many other clubs [Huddersfield and Bulls aside, who had the captive audience to sell to locally] have reduced their ST or match day prices by the same percentage we have?

Cycles back again to the most important reason for RL not being as popular as we think it should be, and that is combined ingrained psyche and community coupled with the M word.
