Not sure how many of you on here will remember this chap - but a mate of mine was drinking in his local boozer in Tunbridge last night and it turns out that the legendary Mal Aspey is the landlord. I suspect you will Dave!

I asked the mate to drop Mal my details and he just called - too late to get him to the heritage game tomorrow, but he is keen to come along to the club at some point.

Also trying to get said mate and Mal to get an RL team going in Tunbridge....watch this space!

Good to see he's still around. There's a picture of him kicking a goal for us at Craven Cottage on the back cover of the first ever Rothman's Yearbook.

No, that was Iain (Corky) McCorquodale.

Mal Aspey was one of the best centres we've ever had. He left to join Wigan and played stand-off there for a while.

Yeah, I think you're right on that, after his spell at Central Park.
