No Listy - just got sick of talking to you. Hence the lack of responses to your posts. Im breaking a pact with myself on this one. Simply because i wanted to use the forum as a place of discussion, as opposed to your tactic of using it to antagonise people.

Life too short, better things to do, yadda yadda.
End result - you just wont be acknowledged by myself. Im sure your just as happy with that outcome as me.

I dont think your posts offer anything useful to the discussion.

So would you agree that the benefits of Northern Rock in Newcastle is seeing the name Northern Rock on the football strip and not a great deal more- or has Shay Given got a Northern Rock Mortgage

No....because Northern Rock have always had a policy of sponsoring Newcastles major sports teams. They sponsored the basketball and the Rugby Union squads, that was their method of brand awareness.

Carlsberg and Liverpool is/was the longest single sponsorship in the Premiership.
Developing such brand prominence in such a tough market is an exceptional feat, and im sure they fought hard to keep the sponsorship.
It is widely regarded as just as famous as the Arsenal/JVC tie up, and the Marlboro/Ferrari sponsorship.

As for jobs in East London and holidays in Manchester - gotta be honest, i think thats just to get their name on the TV and get them ahead in the market. The extra's are very unclear.

Imagine the Everton Head of Communication, trying to make the team global. Theyve targetted China as an area they'd like to exploit...........how on earth could we make breaking into this market easier..........Answer: get a Chinese beer to sponsor the shirts!

Chang is from Thailand, and I much prefer it to Singha, the major competition, but it's difficult to get in London restaurants.
