So you think we should undo whatever work we have done, upsticks, AGAIN, with no guarantees, instead of working with what we have?

Three years is enough for you, disregarding the fact that other clubs have built up their fan bases over DECADES. Get this into your head, our sport is still a MINORITY sport in the South, crowds aren't just suddenly going to appear out of thin air. It takes TIME.

The transport links to our ground are brilliant. In fact, getting to Stratford would be a pain in the booty. There is absolutely 0 chance of us getting anywhere near the Olympic Stadium for starters, so please just stop it.

seeing as this topic is entitled olympic stadium i thought we might discuss this.
transport links are not brilliant.no tube ,problems with engineering works at weekends.
undoing the community work is a downside.although with community officers in the sw london kids can still access league at school level.i dont see hoards of schoolkids at games so that wont affect attendances.
why would it be difficult getting to east london that its not getting to sw london.
as i keep saying the stoop aint working :FRUSRATED:

Last post from me on this topic, as I can see that you are very impatient and short sighted with no grasp of the growth of Rugby League. IT WON'T HAPPEN. See you at the Crusaders game, in our horrible stadium that is impossible to access.

For 96 but not when we returned there. My view is that having a decent side has a lot more impact on gates then location. We finished 4th in 96, 2nd in 97, 7th in 98.

rubbish.what about the valley we got good crowds there.
the thought of staying at the stoop is laughable.i also note you are posting from twickers.nuff said

8k v castleford at the stoop......4.5k castleford fans bussed in free of charge........otherwise, nothing touches the 4,238 average at the stoop in 2006. Averages at the valley were less than Brentford and the current stay in Twickenham. 1996 apart and given it was a novelty for away fans and locals alike, the crowds spiralled downwards.....
Griffin park was the next best ground for averages...charlton doesn't register..........and I am posting from New Zealand
Sweeney mate.......I have a lovely colourful spreadsheet with gates for London SL teams.....if you don't believe me, PM me your email and I will send it to you. It's gripping stuff  EVEN PAUL BLANCHARD HAS A COPY!!!!!!!

It's my "faux" hobby according to some on here and a problem that some of my mates (who work in marketing in London agencies) have failed to understand.......regardless of where we play, why people don't come to watch and the answer from all of them is the same.........it begins with M, ends in G and has "arketin" in between. Sorry homer 8)

I repeat, moving would be another admission of failure and..... what would happen to the fantastic community work being done by the club? As for you not buying a jersey because of the Harlequins tie up.......are you rupe1? To survive, we did what was needed.......have a rented ground that we are treated better at than The Valley or GP.

people i am only answering a question from lister that gates were rubbish at the valley and in 1996 the average was 5699.as far as i can see the largest average since super league started.ive no interest in arguing over these figures like some appear.i only wanted to put forward my opinions on the benefits in moving into the olympic stadium as opposed to staying at the stoop
