I’m grasping at straws now so will need the collective fans to help here as our mighty London Broncos very, very slowly gear up for their pre-season friendly against the North Wales Crusaders on January 18th, and further with the Challenge Cup second-round clash against the well-signed new boys, Goole Vikings approaching meaning the anticipation is building for our 2025 Championship campaign. Do we have squad numbers/players announced yet?

The off-season has seen significant changes, with many key players departing for other Super League/Championship clubs. Despite these departures, the Broncos have retained a small core group of committed players, including Will Lovell, Alex Walker, Marcus Stock, Sadiq Adebiyi, and Lewis Bienek among others, who are expected to play pivotal roles in the upcoming season.

Our pre-season fixtures, including the match against the NW Crusaders, will provide valuable opportunities for the coaching staff to assess the squad’s cohesion and identify areas for improvement. These games are essential for building momentum and confidence ahead of the regular season.

I can’t see much further into the future, especially financially for the club looking ahead with the Broncos set to commence their Championship campaign with an away game against the Bradford Bulls on Sunday, February 16th. The season promises to be challenging.

In summary, while the London Broncos face a demanding season ahead, the combination of experienced leadership, committed players, and strategic pre-season preparations positions them to tackle the challenges of the 2025 Championship season with determination and optimism.

Overall, I’m only mid-table optimistic at best, but hoping (praying) we'll complete the 2025 season!!

Eccles has alluded to a good second half of the season. I spoke to Ethan Natoli at the end of last season and he said he was keen to come back after the French season is over. Broncos to make the playoffs.

The forwards will knock a lot of teams about. Walker will look good. Some/ any backs to make us contenders.

I think the early part of this season is going to be tough. The squad just isn’t balanced or, frankly, ‘there’ yet. Who exactly do we expect to be scoring on a regular basis?
I agree with others that we’ll pick up and I had a feeling Natoli might be available late doors in the season so interested to hear what Alan said. I think playoffs is pushing it but mid table would be a good achievement although where that leaves us longer term, I’ve no idea.

I wouldn’t mind knowing who these trialists are at some stage. Would make it easier to guess how well we’ll do.

Sorry folks but I’m just not sharing the optimism re the playoffs.
I’ll be happy if we avoid dropping out of the Championship.
Perhaps if we win our cup game or put in a few decent championship performances early on I’ll change my mind but there’s too much uncertainty on and off the pitch. I mean if we knew who else might be turning out for us this season it might help….

I am with RFe. A successful season this year IMO will be avoiding a relegation fight. I think we will finish mid table at best.
I doubt any new owner will want to suddenly splash the cash on signing players in 2025, maybe second half of season if things are looking dire

Think I'm inclined to agree with you NB. Unless of course any moneymen coming in, have more in common with camels than they do crocodiles.

more wins than losses would be nice, but other than a supposed new owner and half a signed squad, i suspect survival will be the target.
I would see making it to the last game of the season and not in serious debt as a win.
