Taulima Tautai is set to leave Wigan Warriors at the end of the season. He is in the final year of his contract and rumours are he hasnt been able to agree on a new contract with the club. He was poor in first season but crucial in helping Wigan win Grand Final last season and World Club Challenge this year. His size has been crucial in adding strength to Wigans forwards. his services wil be in demand.

The thread title is misleading. Set to dramatically leave would normally be conceived as played his last game!

Hardly dramatic. Players move on. Decent player yes he has his moments, he also has his brain farts. I would be surprised if he got a gig in Australia so it's off to Leigh then. I wonder if he has the same agent as Crosby. Asking for ridiculous amounts and then biting his nose off to spite his face when he doesn't get it. If it's true he might get frozen out.

He's had one poor season and one very good season for us. He looks in good form so far this year also and it would be a real shame to lose him. Ultimately though I guess he came on a reasonably low contract and he'll probably want an increase in pay which we may not be able to offer.

Hoping it turns out to be untrue but in a salary cap sport it wouldn't surprise me.

Not irreplaceable by any means but I for one wouldnt want him to leave. Improved significantly and popular amongst the team.
