I think most people will agree with me. They way he has dealt with stories over the years in regards to RL and unsurprisingly towards Wigan has been nothing short of amateurish. He got caught up in the whole Sam Tomkins situation and similarly with the 3rd man in at the knees saga.
You would think at times he writes articles to try and destroy Rugby League.

He clearly hates Wigan. Why else would he tip us to finish 1st?

I've got a brain so you can count me out of the bit in bold.
As the last RL reporter at any of the "quality" newspapers we should be thankful we've got someone who can actually write about the game in a publication that you don't have to take your brain out before reading it. While I might not always agree with what he writes, I'm not so sensitive that things about the game have to be sugar-coated to make me feel better, when the reality is somewhat different.

That's the problem that he, and seemingly every other rugby league journalist, has. It sometimes seems like one big group of mates with journalists, coaches, players etc all being so familiar with each other that they always have to toe the line. Most rugby league journalists are pretty bland because of that.
He made some very unflattering comments about Wigan last year when I was speaking to him but to be fair it was more aimed at our ex coach and a current Kiwi prop forward of ours.
Seems all has been forgiven now Wanes head man with him tipping us to finish first.
