I'm genuinely gutted, I knew Leon personally thru playing with him at Salford. He was a fantastic RL talent, tough and very agile and would of in no doubt been a SL star, but better than that he was a good lad and friend.

Terrible. Far too young.

I'll be going to Belle Vue for the first time in April to offer my support in whatever way I can. RL sticks together in the dark times.

My thoughts are with Leon's family, friends and team-mates, and everyone involved with Wakefield.

Rest in peace young man. A hard game, played by brave men young and old. News like this is devastating for all connected to the family of Rugby League. Made me feel sick and brought a tear to my eye.
