As i said i am not in a position to comment on the performance but from what i have heard Brown got it right and picked up the win, Noble got it wrong and we all know where that story ends.

The main difference was the kicking game - far better than us in both short and long range kicks.

Aside from that, although its tempting to rip into Wigan again after another diasppointing result, I personally didn't feel they were far away from Hudds in performance or effort.

The late two scores give the scoreline a very flattering look.

We both played similar tactics really. That was my point.

I'd say despite the scoreline (the 2 late tries flattered them) we were the better team for the most part. The tries we conceded were soft whereas we had to create the openings to score ours.

The point I'm making is that people are spouting out the old "5 drives and a kick cost us" when in reality it's our defence they should be looking at. Huddersfield lied on at the tackle that little bit longer allowing their defence to be set and left very few gaps for Wigan to exploit. Wigan should have recognised the ref was letting them get away with it and followed suit.

More like 'Wigan - Home of the 2 drives and a scrum', these days.

Luke Robinson got sin binned and we never passed the ball to the wingers ONCE ! We still tried driving it up the middle.

They were a man short for heavens sake

The worrying thing for me is that we have been beaten tonight by a side who had to do nothing special to win it. It looked liked two average sides just going through the motions.

One issue for Wigan is that with ball in hand we created very little and took several wrong options, another is that Huddersfield got into our half on probably 4 occasions in the second half and came up with two tries - our defence simply can't handle pressure.
