Lance Todd has the MOM named after him

IMO I would have Edwards but his Union connections slightly blemishes his record

I don't think Edwards deserves it. It's got to be Hanley for me.

Lose your wigan bias lads. Sullivan was the first black englishman to captain GB and is spoken of massively by both sides of the Hull divide after playing for both which is no mean feat.

Wigan bias on the Wigan board... hardly a shock. My vote would be Sullivan too.

Even as a great fan of Clive Sullivan the player, and the person, I honestly don't think he would be in contention for this honour if he hadn't died a tragic early death.

His Wembley connections are no more than many players and his case seems to be built around captaining England to a 'countback' victory in the 1972 World Cup in front of less than 5000 fans in France!

I am amazed there isn't more of a push for Andy Gregory to be honoured.

Here is a truly great dual Lance Todd Trophy winner who is completely synonymous with Wembley, having never lost in nine visits - an astonishing and unprecedented statistic!

Having never been sent off on the ground and, having never taken up ranks with the sport's enemy, his case demolishes that of Edwards and Hanley!
