Not Orford please. Overrated and would more than likely want a big wage. I think we could do a lot better

Overated he is not. He is what we need in some ways as he ticks the boxes for experience, a good kicking game.....

In another way we need someone who can be a long term partner for Sam.

Wouldn't be surprised if we're one of the SL clubs interested in him. He's 31 so that would knock the 'long term partner for Sam' on the head.

I was trying to make the point that it's hard to find the balence of what we need, indeed Orford does not tick that final box, but I think he ticks more than most other players.

Agreed.

Personally i think in 2 years we will be in a much better position to identify a long term partner for ST.

I agree that we will be in a better position to look for a long term partner but some would argue that we could of missed out on a terrific partner for him in Myler, me included.

After finding out who this guy was Mr Lenegan should sign him up asap! After last nights game especially because every time he took the ball in he knocked the first bloke off and crunched them in the tackle. This lad is special and I would say a small transfer fee would sprise him away from the big smoke.
