I wouldn't seek to move back deliberately now but if for some reason I had to go back I wouldn't bat an eye at doing so.

And the way I read the article Sam said kind of the same thing.

Re Sam, my feeling is that IL must have been told by Sam's agent that he wants a move and it's the old one about not wanting to keep an unhappy player. Do you keep him to contract and risk an unsettling presence? I don't believe that IL would be doing this unless he had been told by the agent that Sam wants away. Wigan's great strength this season, it seems to me, is that they appear to be greater than the sum of the parts. Real team spirit if you like. I'm not saying that Sam would be a bad influence, but if he is unhappy because half of the England team are playing in the NRL then it may affect his performances. You only have to look at the CC semi last year to see when Sam's mind is elsewhere the problems that it can cause.

It's all rather depressing isn't it. i just love watching him play. I think he's the most naturally gifted sportsman in the country right now and hope to hell that we can keep him a little while longer.

If this is how Sam performs when unsettled the rest of SL had better hope he doesn't cheer up any time soon.

A mate of mine has just been speaking to some of the players and Wane at London after the game.
Wanes going to NZW - said so himself (apparently)
On the plus side Hansen is staying which for me is a massive bonus, been outstanding the games hes played since coming back from injury.
I expect Harris to step up, im not sure about him to be honest. But then again, i wasnt sure about Wane and hes proved me wrong so far even though we didnt win a major trophy last year. It'll be a shame to see Waney go.

Mickey Paea article in the press stating he may go the the NRL. It smacks to me as a please don't give me grief attempt to appease his home fans for the rest of the season before signing for a rival Super League side, just hope it is us.

Paea added to Powell and our already established young lads would give us huge strength in depth massive impact and huge size.

Briscoe in for Richards would be a step up, we just need a goal kicking fullback who will score 2 tries a game and we are laughing.

We have made an offer to Paea, so have Salford. Their offer is much bigger. Jon H is probably correct re the NRL smokescreen. Similarly Shaun Wane is using the NZ Warrior story to try to get a new contract at Wigan sooner rather than later.

Well that kind of tactic might get him an early decision on a new deal but it might be "Off you go then!" as IL doesn't strike me as a person who favours being put on the spot like that.
