He only brushes his head against him but I bet Kaide Ellis feels hard done to. I’d like to see that one. It wasn’t in the highlights I saw (highlights probably being the wrong word for it) but read mention of it not being too clever.

The whole things a mess at the moment. When you see the Shorrocks sending off and subsequent ban and compare it to others who get nothing, it all becomes a bit of a joke. Like you say, the Ellis one was no worse in terms of impact to what happened in the final ("rutting heads" as Kendall phrased it) or what happens on the floor in this incident yet the outcomes are so, so different. I had no issue with the Ellis one but there's just no consistency. When you start to compare with similar incidents that draw little or no punishment it becomes somewhat less palatable.

Mate, the Disciplinary Panel, has made a rod for its own back. On the other hand, half of the suspensions I have seen this season don’t make sense. Mind you, I would certainly like to see coaches banned for speaking derogatorily about referees in public, it has no part in the game. The appropriate channels should be used. Perhaps all these moaning coaches should be made to referee a few matches so that we can see how it should be done.

Lees ban is fair under the current rules.

The drama over the Knowles “punch” is actually embarrassing. The footage clearly shows there was no punch.

Greenwood is lucky to get away with a clearly deliberate elbow.

The English one however is the one that makes me angry. The RFL are so obsessed with head contact that they’re turning a blind eye to everything else. These tackles are dangerous, reckless and compete unnecessary.

I’ve played and coached the game over 30 years now and I don’t know one person who would choose the English tackle on them over the Lees one. Yet one is a 2 game ban and the other a slap on the wrist. I just don’t get it.

Are there any vids of the English tackle going round ? I've only seen the pretty rubbish club video of the Lees one and it's pretty hard to make out anything from that

Just seen it below, so it saves you a job mate. It’s another incident that just confuses people because I’ve seen people banned for less.
