Wigan vs Leeds finals aggregate score.

Wigan 178 - 64 Leeds

Wigan wins - 6 Leeds wins - 0

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.

Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!

Esse quam videri.

I'm really pleased it's selling well. Although it may not be to my liking, it's important for the clubs sake that it's successful. After all for those of us who wish to wear a more traditional shirt, the club has catered for that also. Once we start kicking @rse in in a couple of months time the color of Wigan's shirt won't be thought about.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

As ugly as they are, I bet the majority of kids wanted (and got) one for Christmas.

Exactly.
Now as a more mature (old git) I don't particularly like the shirt, or the name Warriors for that matter, but understand that "the club" need to appeal to the younger fans, as that is where future revenues will come from.
As I've said before, the shirt issue, if it really is one, is a minor issue. Keep collecting the wins and it becomes a non issue.

Fully agree. I won't be buying one, but then again I'll prob spend a few £100 on other stuff as usual.

I think you're right. As the amateur season has picked up again since the snow went, I've seen quite a few of the new shirts being sported in the kids' teams during training sessions. Not seen too many being worn by older players, but then some older players are still wearing Norweb shirts.

I work on the Robin Park complex and I've seen quite a few people wearing the new home jersey less so the away shirt though.

For the first time in my life I think the club have actually lied to the fans! Yesterday around town I saw roughly twenty people with Wigan shirts on but not a one had the new shirt on and if it had sold so well you would think you'd see at least a couple.

:NAUGHTY: :NAUGHTY: :NAUGHTY: :NAUGHTY:

The shirt sales were bound to be more than ever - we have more season ticket sales than ever. we have just come top of the league and crowned SL champions, the marketing team is better than it has been for years, I could go on.,.......................................................................WIGAN ARE BACK!!!!

There's not many kids I know who wouldn't have wanted a 'Wigan Shirt' for Xmas. There's the 'happy clappers' who will always buy one whatever happens and then there those that like it.

From knowing someone within the club pretty high up - well before Xmas they were selling really well so this hasn't surprised me at all.

Just because you don't see it please don't assume it's lies.

I have a home shirt (because I like it) and don't have the away one (because I don't like looking like I've been sponsored by Wigan Council!!! ). I only wear mine at games and I think you find alot of people are the same.

'Do you remember when we had that meeting in Orlando? We talked about how we were knocked out the previous year by Leeds. And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.'

Shaun Wane's post-Grand Final speech. 5th October 2013.

I have to be honest and say now that the first friendly of the season is less than a week away, I'm beginning to think about going having another look at the home shirt and seeing if my opinion has changed any.

I have only ever seen pictures online and the one they had on the dummy instore prior to release so if it's not too bad I might get one. If it's still bobbins I'll just stick with my 2009 home shirt.

3677 home shirts sold at an average of £30 (and that's probably on the low side) gives an income of over £110K which I'm sure will please IL.

Yep.

Only another 63,000 shirts to sell and he's covered that £2 million he had to pay Whelan the other month.
