Do we really need to spend big to replace Pat? We could stick Gelling/Burgess/Manfredi/Fat Harry on the wing in this team and they would score bags of trys. IMO we should replace Pat from within.

I think we should spend big. We could get a quality winger in there to replace Pat whos done a great job for the last 8 seasons. Pat is a massive loss, not on the field but off it too. He has bags of experience and bringing a young lad in takes that away from a team that doesn't have much experience in there already. Pat has good defense but Thornley does struggle at times and teams will hammer that wing if we put a young lad there. We'll have good cap space at the end of the year so i dont see why we shouldnt go and buy a quality winger.

we should aim to replace any player that leaves with the best possible player we can, wether thats from our academy, another club or even another sport

Limeham would be my number 1 target. He is massive for a wingman, good in the air, great pace and power. Would be the perfect replacing for Pat.

Would not complain with Briscoe, but I think Lineham is a bit special.
