NRL boss David Gallop will today warn Todd Carney that his trouble-marred career will be over if he transgresses at his latest club, Cronulla. The 25-year-old is set to join the Sharks on a two-year deal worth a total $700,000 but must first sit down with Gallop before the contract will be registered.
Thought this was nailed on.
Pemps, looks like your sigs are safe for the season.

Will be interesting. All other clubs are busy announcing their new signings yet Wigan stay silent.
We have either seriously messed up with our recruitment or we may just not be signing anyone.
Fielden will be like a new signing as he hasnt played in a year but will simply act as a replacement for coley.
Hock is being classed as a replacement for Hoffman.
So who is the replacement for O Carroll - Crosby maybe?
Its the loss of deacon where we really need to go to the market ...... Or is Amos as 2nd choice 6 with Tomkins as 2nd choice 9 the answer.
In that case, have we or will we actually sign anyone......mmmm

Wasn't he played at centre then though? I'd rather have him in the team than McIlorum.
That's right, played in the centres.
I'd guess we're blooding the kids more next year, surprised we're faves for the title.

Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.
Given the market is so flat, unless there is someone that will improve our club then do not sign anyone, its as simple as that.

Agreed, if there is no one worth signing then don't sigh anyone for the sake of it. Wait, be patient and develop from within. Eventually when the right person becomes available be sure to have the funds available.
I find this a very interesting time for our club, while on paper our teams seems to be lacking in certain departments, we may be surprised by some of our own youngsters who are dying to play first team for Wigan.

Still a couple of top line players not signed new deals with Sika Manu being one of them.
As pointed out by Jonh though if the correct players aren't available then why bother? I can understand guys like Dudson or Flower as they're raw and the club must see some good potential in them but i'm still struggling to see why we'd need Lauaki or maybe that should read want him!
We've lost a couple of top class players and unless we replace them like for like then just don't bother. In that case we need to produce our own top class players to replace guys like Coley and Hoffman. Signing 2nd raters will get us nowhere.
We've replaced guys like Davies and O'Carroll with Dudson and Flower and theres every chance that will be an improvement but we'll have to pull a rabbit out of a hat to replace Hoff, Deacon or Coley from outside the club.
