Why would Reed come to Wigan? He starts for Brisbane.
Tommy isn't a 7, this is old news, he shouldn't be considered there, we've moved on, discovered he's an excellent 9 (sadly nearly 12 months after the NZ selectors but nevertheless)
McM isn't even good enough to play interchange 9 so having him play more minutes is another idea we should have moved on from.
Logan isn't ready and probably never will be up to scratch, his surname is helping him out too much.
Cadberry has more potential.
Mellor/Powell both not ready to be a starting player in the halves at Wigan. Usually we play them for a year or so in NL1 then on loan at another SL club, if they look to be doing well then bring them back into the club with a focus on graduation to the first team (Charnley/Tuson/Mossop for examples) This has not happened.
We are short this year in key positions. simple as that. we need to make do with what we have.
