Obviously hope Prescott can get over his injury problems but I would be surprised if he's here next year either way with him being off contract. Too much of a risk and would struggle to get in the team right now with others overtaking him.

St Georges Jamie Soward (a player Wigan have been linked with a few times in the past) has signed for the London Bronchos until the end of the season.

Makes sense for them...they're in with a chance of a CC final if the draw is kind, and might also put a few badly needed bums on seats too.

It's going to take more than that to put bums on seats at The Stoop.

The fans are beyond despair at the moment, i've been down twice this season and i've never known it this bad, no one is enthused at the moment.
People don't even stay behind for a drink like they used to.

One of the most frustrating things about being a fan is you rarely get to find out the full details to form a reasoned opinion. I am sure IL has Wigan's best interests at heart and will make the right decision for the clubs long term future.

I think the frustrating thing as a fan is you can take very little at face value. If he goes early all the words uttered when he signed the current 3/5 year deal will have been meaningless and so anything said in the future can be treated as worthless spin. No doubt someone will argue just because Sam couldn't instigate this that didn't mean the club couldn't as if this makes it all OK and IL hasn't lied to the fans or whatever. If anyone thinks along those lines they want to ask themselves is such cynical behaviour whereby you rely on what you don't say to justify your actions worthy of the Wigan club.

Keith Leulia heading back to Australia at the end if the year. Think he would be an outstanding signing for Wigan if there was any chance to hijack any potential deal to return to the NRL.

He looks to have gone of the boil to me slightly this year?

Granted i only see the limited amount of Bulls games on the TV, but do you think he could displace Goulding or block Thornleys development?

He had a decent year last year but he looks bog average this year. Whenever I've seen the Bulls this year he's looked very slow but he does seem to have his leg strapped quite a bit so maybe he's carrying an injury.

I'd be happy with Sarginson putting pressure on Goulding and Thornley next year.

Struggled for form this year, I agree, but I think he may be a little disillusioned with life at the bulls.

Maybe homesick, in which case he needs to go home if it is affecting his performance.

If it was a choice between Seargentson and Leulia though it would be Leulia every time for me. He in my opinion would be our best centre by some distance, if his head was in the right place.

I will be the first to say that i know very little about Sargison as i have probably only seen him play once or twice, but i know that he is being touted as having real potential.

Goulding is steadily becoming a very dependable and robust Centre, with a small helping of flair when required. Thornely is having a very, very good first full season and i would not like him to be displaced by a more senior player (based purely of reputation and salary.....possibly?)

Having another youngster such as Sarginson pushing for a place "feels" like the better long term plan to me. Granted if a player of Lulia's talent was to join and to hit the straps straight away, the current team would obviously benefit. However (without knowing the future) i think that Thornley has the makings of a very, very good 3/4. Whilst not adamant about it, i do think this is the better mid - long term plan.
